If I may: a moment with my brain

Although I've been handed at least a thousand gifts this week, my mind still can't help but wander into a lost place sometimes. Living in another country is hard, especially at a time when my heart is feeling so ready to push some roots into the ground and start a more permanent stem of growth. Not sure if this is the right thing to do, but I find a bit of comfort in frequent visits to You Tube. Here's one of my current favorites:

  1. I totally felt the same way about rooting myself, starting a more settled life here in jujuy because I thought that would make it easier some how. i almost made the mistake of BUYING A HOUSE and STARTING A BAR in jujuy -- one of the poorest provinces (if not THE poorest) in Argentina. I was going about my emotions in all the wrong ways, thinking that buying a house and starting a bar was 'no big thing' and that I could fulfill my desire to create and build up something and OWN something right now in my life with little effort or full responsibility. I thought of it as a side project, really. It's quite funny now. Luckily I took a vacation to Peru which gave me time to really think about it. It also made me realize that I'm only 25 and the world is so big and I want to see and do way more before I let my blips of emptiness and urges to settle dictate who/what and where I stop and stick my feet in the ground. Anyway...just wanted to let you know that you've got a friend in the same boat.

  2. Thank you Autumn. Although I would have totally hit up your bar! hehe. Please let us meet in the states to debrief! te prendes?? HUG!
